OPEN GREEN AT SIMO NETWORK ANNOUNCES ITS ATTRACTIONS
. Open Green proposes a comprehensive programme that will enable participants to discover a range of ICT solutions and share experiences with other professionals and different experts. This area will also seek to boost the competitiveness of companies and businessmen through the use of technology.
OPEN GREEN at SIMO Network, an area organised by EOI, the School for Industrial Organisation, will take place between 5th and 7th October within the framework of the leading technological event in Spain. This section of the fair has announced some of the attractions on its wide-ranging activities programme, which has been designed to boost networking, promote awareness of technological solutions and facilitate the exchange of experiences with other professionals and different experts, all with a view to boosting the competitiveness of companies and businessmen through the use of technology.
In this respect, OPEN GREEN at SIMO Network will emerge as a highly participative area, one that offers companies different alternatives that enable them to gain access to advice from specialists in different fields. Participants will also be able to discover the successful experiences undertaken by other companies, listen to the opinions of a series of renowned experts from the world of technology and other business spheres and even present their own technological products and visualise the technologies of others that have boosted their competitiveness. In short, they will be able establish contacts with other companies from the industry in order to take advantage of existing synergies, set up alliances, etc.
All of this will take place through the organisation of competitions, demos and presentations, not to mention the staging of conferences, courses, workshops, personalised consulting sessions and networking meetings, among other initiatives.
Thus, some of the activities encompassed by OPEN GREEN will focus on promoting a sense of dialogue with companies, such as the setting provided by the following initiatives: Coffee with Experts, which seeks to facilitate one-on-one consulting; Express Consulting, which seeks to boost competitiveness; and CreaWeekend, which aims to promote the presentation and evaluation of projects.
Other initiatives will focus on the realm of innovation, including the following: the organisation of competitions such as CreaCloud, based on Cloud Computing applications; exhibitions of innovative products and technologies at Demolab; and the presentation of a demo and consulting area regarding Cloud Computing, known as "Get on the Cloud" ("Súbete a la Nube").
The programme at OPEN GREEN will also include a series of activities designed to promote learning, such as the following: Micro-Workshops featuring practical training sessions on different matters; the staging of a Business Intelligence Day, featuring a Conference on Knowledge Management and a Course on Design and Technology; and ExportatechMadrid, consisting of a series of presentations on the key aspects for promoting internationalisation.
In order to facilitate the adoption of new technologies and provide an insight into their benefits, EOI will present a demonstration of technological solutions for SME's within the area known as Technology for Competitiveness. Different demonstrations and presentations of technological solutions designed to promote the sustainability of companies within the industry will be staged within the area known as Technology for the Environment, whilst the evaluation and proposed improvement of ICT facilities at companies will be carried out within the area known as ICT Diagnosis.
Other activities will focus more on Networking aspects, such as Initiator, which will seek to foster and facilitate enterprising initiatives through peer-to-peer sessions, which is to say, by participants listening to established entrepreneurs and learning from their experiences. The same networking environment will also include the following initiatives: RedePyme Initiator Investment Forum, a meeting platform for both investors and entrepreneurs; an Investors Meeting for promoting networking among entrepreneurs, the Official Credit Institute (ICO) and/or Business Angels networks; a Meeting of Virtual Shops for the staging of an exhibition and chats regarding e-Commerce; and a Meeting of Social Enterprises, both national and international, which will show how technology contributes value in terms of boosting the efficiency of companies of this kind and in terms of capturing customers and funds.
OPEN GREEN will also provide the setting for the following initiatives: a Meeting of Technology Bloggers, a Conference on Free Software; a meeting for promoting the internationalisation of cultural industries through new technologies, organised under the heading of "Exporting Culture with Technology"; a Conference on Mobile Learning; and a meeting for exploring new frontiers within the digital networks of New Television Formats, among many other activities.
